it said to -

1)remove negative ground from car.

2)remove fuel pump relay/fuse - this releases the pressure from the gas line. also open the gas cap.

3) my fuel filter was under some vacuumm thingy on the passenger side-but the chilton book showed me exactly where it was. remove this and mark all hoses where they go.

4) remove hose clamps from input and output fule lines

5) now get two needle nose vice grips and clamp off each line.

6) remove old filter.

7) replace in old with new, mind the arrows on fuel filter this tells you the flow of gas- also place hose clamps back.

8)remove needle nose clamps.

9)replace vacuum tubes and thingy.

10) replace fule relays/fuses.

11) connect negative to battery.

12) clean hands with go-jo

13) crank you car.

14) you are good to go, and you saved 75.00 !!! thats what pep boys wanted to do mine.

The key to it is getting the manual !!!

Now doing the fule pump, is a different story. have an experience mechanic.
