I have 2 cars that need to drop the fuel tank in other to reach and change the fuel filer. Can this be done at home or it needs professionals?
Kia optima 2004 and Dodge ram year 2000.Is it easy to drop a fuel tank to change fuel filter?If you are working with empty tanks, I'm sure you can do this at home. Be aware: I've read that the kia may not need the tank dropped as there is an access area in the back seat area. strap bolts are always rusty
stick floor jack under tank
remove bolts
let some remove fuel lines and fuel pump wires
replacing fuel pump it has locking ring you tap to line up with slot or if its a hose easy not real hard just heavy a floor jack wil help ive done it at home more than ive wanted to
